From our family to your game
ActivYates started around our own kitchen table, tired of the same thing every hockey parent knows too well — gear that clears the room the second the bag opens. We wanted something that actually worked, without the harsh chemicals we didn’t want near our kids.
So we made it ourselves. All-natural, Canadian-sourced, and tested on the gear our own family wears to the rink. Every bottle is made right here at home, by people who care about the same things you do.
Our goal is simple: help families keep gear fresh, keep costs honest, and one day help teams and clubs raise money through it too. From our family to your game — thanks for being part of it.
Built by a Sports Family
ActiYates was born right here in Calgary, Alberta, where our family—and our love for sports has deep roots. We’ve built our lives around family, community, and the sports we love. As parents of five incredible children, we know firsthand what busy family life looks like. Between practices, tournaments, and endless road trips, hockey has always been more than just a sport in our home—it’s been a way of life.
As a dedicated goalie for more than 35 years, spending decades in the locker room and knowing exactly the unmistakable smell that follows the gear home.
Like so many sports families, we searched for a product that actually worked—one that didn’t just cover up odours but truly cleaned, sanitized, and protected equipment using naturally derived ingredients while
helping extend the life of your equipment. We wanted a product we’d feel confident using on our own family’s gear—one that’s tough on bacteria but safe for athletes and families.
When we couldn’t find it, we created it.
